Conformance records · ACR, EN 301 549, JIS X 8341-3
A record someone tested. Signed by the person who did.
When a customer or procurement team asks for accessibility evidence, give them a record they can review: the tested scope, criterion results, supporting evidence and the name of the tester. Choose Section 508, EN 301 549 or JIS X 8341-3, with the edition and coverage agreed before testing. Available in English or Japanese.
Three standards, an agreed scope
The record in the format your buyer already uses.
-
Section 508 (US)
- An Accessibility Conformance Report on the VPAT 2.5 template, in the WCAG, 508 and INT editions, built from Trusted Tester results.
- Federal buyers, and the HECVAT and state procurement forms that universities and agencies send with every ICT purchase.
-
EN 301 549 (EU)
- A record against the agreed edition of EN 301 549, with the applicable requirements and product scope identified before testing.
- Teams whose buyers request EN 301 549 evidence, or whose services fall within EU accessibility requirements, subject to applicable scope and exceptions.
-
JIS X 8341-3 (Japan)
- A 試験結果 in the WAIC format: 対応度, the criteria checklist, the pages tested and how they were chosen, and the 今後の対応方針 a 一部準拠 statement needs.
- Japanese public bodies, the companies that sell to them, and companies that publish a 対応度 statement.
For teams selling into more than one market, applicable evidence can support multiple records. We identify any additional requirements before quoting, and agree whether you need English, Japanese or both.
What it rests on
What a reviewer can check.
- The pages and tasks tested, and how they were chosen
- A result for every success criterion, with the test condition it was judged against
- Evidence for each failure: the steps, a screenshot, the browser and assistive technology used
- The date, and the name and Trusted Tester ID of the person who signs it
- A version history: every record ever issued for the site, kept unchanged
What it is not
Said plainly, before you buy.
- Not a certificate
- This service provides a dated assessment, not certification or a guarantee of legal compliance. The record identifies the tested scope, methods, findings and responsible reviewer.
- Conclusions backed by evidence
- Tools can assist testing and documentation. Each conclusion still needs traceable test evidence and review. The record distinguishes completed checks, limitations and areas that were not evaluated.
- Failures are written down
- If something fails, the record says so, with the plan to fix it. A record that claims full conformance of a site with known failures is one you would have to defend.

How it is made
Scope, test, sign.
- 1
Scope in writing
Agree the product, standard, edition and representative pages and tasks. If the package cannot support the coverage your buyer requests, additional testing is scoped and quoted before work starts.
- 2
Tested by hand
Keyboard, screen readers, zoom and forced colors, to the Section 508 Trusted Tester process and WCAG 2.2 AA, with automated checks for what they can see.
- 3
Signed and kept
The record is issued with the report, in your client space. Fix what failed, book a retest ($199), and the next version shows what now passes.
Holding a record against WCAG 2.1 or EN 301 549 V3.2.1?
Send the existing record and your buyer’s current requirements. We compare editions, product changes and missing evidence before quoting the refresh. Documentation is $400 per standard; retesting agreed fixes is $199 per cycle. New criteria or wider coverage may require additional testing, even on unchanged pages.
